For as long as I can remember, I have wanted to write. Along the way, I have been inspired by a number of people, some of whom I would call my heroes. At the top of my list is my mother. She always believed in me. She encouraged me to follow my dream; she bragged on me when I wrote something and let her read it. She bought multiple copies of my books and gave them to anyone who could read. She even sent me money for awhile so that I could quit my second job and use that time to write. She has been an important part of my life; but on March 21, 2017, she went to Heaven. I lost a great fan and a beloved friend, but I know Mom's free from pain and sorrow. Happy trails, sweet Mom. Until we meet again, I'll keep writing and try to make you proud of me. I love you.
Mark L. Redmond was married for 31 years to an incredible woman. She blessed him with two children, who are now among his dearest friends. After taking her home, God gave Mark a second, equally incredible woman. When he married her, he gained 4 more children, who have also become his treasured friends. He also has 10 grandchildren. Mark loves God, his family, and the old West--in that order. Reading and writing about the old West are two of his passions. He really likes Red Lobster too.
